SafeMoon Wallet Alert

Re: Ethereum Merge

Due to the upcoming Ethereum Merge, there is an influx of scammers hoping to take advantage of those new to the crypto market. A SafeMoon Wallet notification was pushed yesterday in hopes of preventing crypto community members from getting scammed.

SafeMoon Wallet Team member Galan shared some information about the recent notification pushed in the SafeMoon Wallet tweeting,

"Re: #EthereumMerge: we pushed this infographic live in the #SAFEMOONWALLET a couple of hours ago. Nothing to do but chill. If someone contacts you telling you that you need to 'upgrade' or 'merge' or 'validate' or any other such nonsense, it's a scam. https://ethereum.org/en/upgrades/merge/"

"There's no need to panic when you hear the word MERGE! You won't need to do ANYTHING! Once the MERGE is complete, all of your ERC-20 holdings will be on the upgraded chain automatically.Things will function just as usual, however, power consumption on the Ethereum blockchain will be reduced by 99.9% with proof-of-stake!"

Web3

Web1 was the read-only stage, whereas Web2 incorporated the ability to write. Web3 adds the ownership layer to the Web. SafeMoon plans to be one of the pioneers helping guide companies who wish to utilize and tap into cryptocurrency and Web3's capabilities by creating products that allow them to do this easily.

Layer-2 vs Layer-3: What is the Difference?

(Moralis Academy) -- "Layer-1 (L1) blockchains struggle to scale without support. Layer-2 (L2) solutions address this problem by reducing network congestion and lowering transaction fees. Moreover, a layer-3 (L3) network helps the Web3 landscape interoperate by facilitating cross-chain communications. But, what’s the difference between a layer-2 vs a layer-3 network?"

"How are you storing your seed phrase and is it enough? Merely writing your seed phrase down on paper is a good initial step but still leaves the phrase vulnerable to environmental destruction. Many additional options exist to protect your investment. My first recommendation is going metal as soon as possible, this can be done in any number of ways such as engraving, capsules, or metallic plate tabs.

How you store it afterwards is also up to you but can be done in varying methods. Store it in one spot, or seed split. Seed splitting is where you divide your phrase up into multiple locations and either bury it or leave it somewhere where you'll remember.

This reminder is particularly useful for those who buy #Crypto and then uninstall their applications to prevent the urge to sell. Here is an example of a valid metal storage solution that costs $20+ USD on Amazon."

Food for Thought

"If I tell you something has 0 volatility, will you still invest? Of course not. But you may use it for payments. Different coins for different purposes. Volatility is a feature for those who want it. Don't buy things you don't want."

Starbucks announces new NFT experience for coffee members

(Coin Telegraph) -- "According to a new post on Monday, Starbucks says it will offer its U.S. members the ability to earn and buy digital collectible stamps in the form of nonfungible tokens, or NFTs. Dubbed 'Starbucks Odyssey,' each collectible digital stamp has its ownership verified on the blockchain and will include a point value based on its rarity. As more stamps are collected, members' points will increase, unlocking access to unique experiences. Canada Leader Bitcoin Advocate

(Coin Telegraph) "Canadian politician and noted crypto advocate Pierre Poilievre has taken the helm of Canada’s Conservative Party, which looks set to give the current administration a run for its money in the next federal election.

The pro-crypto politician reportedly won the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada in a landslide victory on Saturday, securing 68.15% of the electoral points up for grabs, and far outpacing his nearest opponent Jean Charest who received just 16.07% of the vote.

Poilievre has been a member of the Conservative Party since 2003, first winning office in the 2004 election. He has since served as a Member of Parliament for seven terms and held various roles including Shadow Minister for Finance and Minister of Employment and Social Development.

Poilievre has been known as a supporter of crypto and Bitcoin (BTC), advocating for more financial freedom through tokens, smart contracts and decentralized finance.

His latest appointment means that Canadians may be able to eventually vote for a pro-crypto leader in the next federal election — set to take place on or before Oct. 20, 2025, to determine the 45th Canadian Prime Minister.

Earlier this year, Poilievre urged the Canadian public to vote for him as their leader to 'make Canada the blockchain capital of the world.'"
