Blockchain Education

POA, or Proof of Authority, is a consensus algorithm used in blockchain technology to validate and confirm transactions. Unlike other consensus algorithms, such as Proof of Work and Proof of Stake, POA relies on a small group of trusted validators, or "authorities," to verify transactions and add new blocks to the blockchain. In this educational piece, we will explore the benefits of POA in blockchain technology.
Faster Transaction Processing: POA can process transactions much faster than other consensus algorithms, such as Proof of Work, which can take several minutes or even hours to confirm transactions. With POA, transactions can be confirmed in seconds, making it ideal for applications that require quick and efficient transaction processing.
Lower Energy Consumption: Compared to other consensus algorithms, such as Proof of Work, POA requires much less energy to operate. This is because POA does not rely on complex mathematical problems to validate transactions, which can be energy-intensive. Instead, POA relies on trusted authorities, which can verify transactions with much less energy.
Increased Security: With POA, only trusted authorities are responsible for validating transactions and adding new blocks to the blockchain. This means that the risk of attacks is greatly reduced, making POA ideal for applications that require high levels of security, such as financial applications.
Improved Scalability: As the number of nodes in a blockchain network increases, the time required to validate transactions and add new blocks to the blockchain can also increase. With POA, the number of nodes required to validate transactions is reduced, which can improve the scalability of the blockchain network.
Better Governance: In a consortium blockchain, where a group of organizations shares a blockchain network, the governance model based around POA can help to ensure that all members are following the same rules and standards.
In summary, POA offers several benefits in blockchain technology, including faster transaction processing, lower energy consumption, increased security, improved scalability, and governance. These benefits make POA an ideal consensus algorithm for applications that require quick and efficient transaction processing, high levels of security, and better governance.

⚙️The Need for Speed in Blockchain Technology: The Industry Races to Increase TPS
One of the greatest needs for improvement in blockchain technology is increasing transaction per second (TPS) speed. Increasing TPS significantly enhances the efficiency and scalability of blockchain networks.
Thus TPS speed has become a significant focus in the blockchain industry, with many projects and platforms striving to achieve faster transaction processing times to meet the growing demand for efficient and scalable blockchain solutions.
ByBit Learn published an article titled "11 Fastest Cryptocurrencies With Blockchains Boasting High TPS". They share that the fastest crypto blockchain so far has achieved 4,000 TPS. With Visa showing metrics for TPS topping off around some sources claiming 24,000, while off to a good start, blockchain still has a way to go. It's also important to note that with higher TPS sometimes comes sacrifices in security. Always do your own research before investing in any project.
Here are the key takeaways from the article:
The top five fastest cryptocurrencies based on TPS are EOS, TRON, XRP, XLM, and NANO.
EOS is the fastest, with a TPS of 4,000, which is beneficial for applications that require fast transaction processing, such as gaming and micropayments.
Other factors, such as network security, decentralization, and community support, should also be considered when selecting a cryptocurrency to invest in.
It's important to do your own research and due diligence before investing in any cryptocurrency or blockchain project.

Food For Thought
Fellow SafeMoon educator Gandalf shares some thoughts with the community in his most recent thread. In his thread, he offers insights and suggestions on how individuals can engage in positive behavior practices and how these attitudes can facilitate stronger relationships within a community and contribute to its overall growth and success.

Why good behaviour prevails and bad behaviour dies - An explanation including my thought process. The thread created here is about my own experiences, thought processes, and related ways of knowledge that I want to share.💭 The definition of our behavior 🗣️ Our behavior determines how we are portrayed, how we are understood, and how we are perceived. Both good and bad can be decided and substantiated by several different views that shape them, both subjectively and objectively. Good and bad behavior are often very close together - especially in a community. There are reasons for and against each side, especially since the interpretation of both sides can always be mixed by different opinions and is not always clear and unambiguous. How do I determine that something is good or bad? This question is at the core of every statement and evaluation of an attitude. Because just as opinions can differ, it is just as difficult to find a simple answer. It makes sense to take a closer look at the two attitudes. In principle, any action that does something bad to someone is not unambiguously bad. Conversely, any action that does good is not always good, but can also be bad. It is a matter of looking at who something affects and what the outcome is. If you do something good for someone that has a negative effect on yourself, the action has an ambivalent outcome. The same applies if you enrich yourself out of bad motives, but consciously harm others with your actions. The consequences here are always twofold. How would you have the right behavior? 🤔 You should always try to present the right behavior. Behavior that doesn't harm another, but doesn't displease yourself. One must not do what pleases others only, but rather what one would like others to do for one, too. This can manifest itself in our daily lives, for example, by helping someone selflessly without expecting anything in return. Asking someone about their condition, even if you didn't actually plan on it. Giving attention to others even when they wouldn't do the same for you. Positive behavior can return positive feedback. By interpreting one's own actions & striving for positive characteristics, the day, one's own feelings & perception also become more positive. Doubt & hatred disappear, because if you don't think about it, it can't haunt you🙂 That is the end of this thread. Thanks for reading, hopefully, this was helpful for one or the other 🙂❤️
