Comms with John Karony
When a community member mentioned that SafeMoon doesn't have a blockchain yet, Karony responded,

"Yet. Very much being worked on."
"Do we have any day1 dapps planned for the blockchain?"
"Well Ideally the SafeMoon Dapps. We put out the announcement of the NFT Marketplace so folks can start creating content for when it releases. We will likely do the same thing with the blockchain, except instead of content, it’s dapps"
"How things going with CEX?"
"There is progress on the compliance/legal side of things. For more info, go to the SafeMoon YouTube and watch the Captain's Log."

"How about SafeMoon listings on other CEXs?"
"Not the priority at this time."
"Any update on the NFT marketplace?"
"It's looking good."

Blockchain Education: Decentralized Social Networks
Decentralized social networks are systems where user data and content are stored on a blockchain and decentralized servers, rather than on centralized servers controlled by a single entity.
While traditional Web2 social media platforms have their own benefits and limitations, decentralized social networks, known as Web3 technology, are aiming to improve the space. Decentralized networks operate in a decentralized manner, providing greater privacy and security, and giving users control over their data, digital identity, and content, resulting in increased transparency.
The objective of blockchain-based social networks is to foster free speech and provide censorship resistance, without any central authority controlling or manipulating the content. Furthermore, no third party can own, collect, or sell user data.
Web3 social networks frequently use fungible and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as a new way to monetize content, making decentralized social networks not just a change in infrastructure from centralized Web2 platforms, but also a shift in the way social media companies generate revenue. To read more about how decentralized social networks work, the pros and cons, and more, please head to Cointelegraph's educational article on the topic.

Hackers Stole $3.8B From Crypto Investors in 2022
Crypto investors faced their worst year ever in 2022, with $3.8 billion being stolen by cryptocurrency hackers, an increase from the $3.3 billion stolen the previous year. According to Chainalysis, a blockchain analytics platform, October saw the largest number of crypto hacks in a single month with 32 separate attacks resulting in a loss of $775.7 million. Decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols were the main target of these hackers, accounting for 82.1% ($3.1 billion) of all crypto stolen, an increase from 73.3% in 2021. Cross-chain bridge protocols, which allow users to transfer crypto from one blockchain to another, were the source of 64% of the stolen $3.1 billion.
North Korea-linked hackers from groups such as Lazarus Group were behind most of the cryptocurrency theft in 2022, with an estimated $1.7 billion worth of crypto being stolen. A significant portion of this ($1.1 billion) was taken from DeFi protocols, making North Korea a major contributor to the rise in DeFi hacking. The stolen cryptocurrency is believed to be used to fund North Korea's nuclear weapons program. The report also noted that North Korea-linked hackers often send large amounts to mixers, which are often used in their money laundering process. [Source: News Today]
Food For Thought

"Set an example. Treat people with kindness and respect, even the ones who are rude to you, not because they are nice, because YOU are. It doesn't matter whether you need them or not. Just treat them right 😉 As always, #BeKind 💙"

"Many people think they need more intelligence to build the life they want. They actually need more emotional control, to stick to their long-term plan, and stop sabotaging themselves."

"Don't rush the process. Good things take time, you've got to keep keeping and stay patient."

"The most expensive thing in life is a missed opportunity."

"People want to get a reaction out of you as a way to feel they are in control. If you don’t react, they lose that power. Keep your peace. Let them keep their chaos. 🙏"
