Scalability
Community Member: Nobody ever wants to talk about scalability because it’s a problem for the most popular blockchains. It’s a major wall for crypto having wider use

What does scalability refer to?
In this really interesting article published by Binance Academy they explain Blockchain Scalability and two approaches that may have the potential to solve this transaction speed dillema.
"Scalability broadly refers to a system’s ability to grow to accommodate increasing demand. In computing, you might boost your machine’s performance by upgrading its hardware so it is faster to perform certain tasks. When we speak of scalability in blockchains, we refer to growing their capacity to handle more transactions."
They discuss the utilization of sidechains and/or payment channels and concluded that "[b]oth sidechains and payment channel technology have yet to mature, but they’re being leveraged increasingly by users that wish to circumvent the shortcomings of base layer transactions."
