Swap & Evolve
SafeMoon Education Manager CatsRus Tweeted, "Full breakdown on Swap & Evolve with flowchart to truly understand the process.
Don't forget to learn more by reading our article. Now both in Simple and Detailed articles."
The difference between Swap & Liquefy and Swap & Evolve:
"The core function of S&L and S&E is to passively build liquidity over time. Both functions does this. But S&E will do it without the drawback S&L had on the price as it triggered. Frequent small sells, followed by a 66BNB buy rather than a 250m SafeMoon sell" - Explorer, Discord senior mod
"S&L = One single big sell. Could be timed and exploited by whales. S&E= Many small sells, followed by a buy + a pair towards the LP. Harder to get exploited, since the sells doesn't impact the price as S&L. Also, don't forget that the values can be modified as we reach higher volume floors, so it doesn't trigger the function that often." - Hughs, Discord senior mod
S&E Questions and Answers
How [come the] contract collects BNB?
"The reason is the way tokens have to be added to the LP. The LP consists of tokens pairs, meaning you have to have 2 tokens that create an LP pair. In SafeMoon's case the tokens are SafeMoon and BNB. So somehow the BNB has to be acquired for the pair. This can be done in one of 2 ways. - collect SafeMoon to sell for BNB - collect BNB to buy SafeMoon The second option performs a buy, meaning it has a positive impact on the price where the first option is opposite."

I think I'm not ever going to understand because the LP thing, it's confusing honestly. How does it benefit?
"The LP is an address which holds the liquidity used by decentralized exchanges like SafeMoon Swap. When you swap BNB for SafeMoon, it sends your BNB into the liquidity pool, and it gives you the amount of SafeMoon in return. The Swap and Evolve function acts to build liquidity over time by sending paired BNB/SFM tokens into the LP every time it triggers. Having bigger liquidity pools means less price volatility. The price is determined by the ratio of SafeMoon / BNB in the liquidity pool."

So how do we see the price increase?
"The price impact the function has when it triggers is the bi-product of how it works. With the old swap and liquify function it had a big negative impact on the price every time it triggered because it sold 250m safemoon tokens at a time. With swap and evolve it will sell small amounts of safemoon into BNB. When the accumulated BNB reaches a threshold half of it will be used to purchase SafeMoon, then pair them together and add them to the liquidity pool. That way there are smaller sells as it collects, and a bigger buy when the function triggers, rather than just one big sell as the old function did."

ERC-20 and BEP-20 Tokens
BSC News posted an educational Tweet about ERC-20 and BEP-20 tokens! Check it out 😊😊
In #crypto, you may have come across the terms ERC-20 and BEP-20 tokens. ERC-20 and BEP-20 are the token standards of two major blockchains: #Ethereum and #BNBChain. How well do you know these two types of tokens? Come, let us take a look… #Ethereum and #BNBChain are the top two blockchains based on the sheer number of tokens on their networks. As of today, @BNBChain has 2,410,147 recognized token smart contracts while @Ethereum has 536,415. ERC-20 and BEP-20 standards are owned by the Ethereum Foundation and Binance Organisation respectively. The standards define the coding parameters that must be adhered to for tokens to be created and deployed on #Ethereum and #BNBChain networks. The prefixes are acronyms: ERC means 'Ethereum Request for Comments' and BEP stands for 'Binance Evolution Proposal.' Tokens developed based on these standards are called ERC-20 tokens and BEP-20 tokens. The number '20' represents the Request ID. When developers create tokens using either the ERC-20 or BEP-20 standard, it ensures that the tokens are compatible and work together better on their respective blockchains...
Any similarities between ERC-20 and BEP-20 standards? Yes: the BEP-20 standard was derived from and is compatible with the ERC-20 standard. The BEP-20 protocol code is primarily a modification of the ERC-20 protocol to improve its speed and transaction cost.
Now, let's go to the differences. Where do they differ? Apart from the fact that ERC-20 and BEP-20 tokens run on different blockchains, the central theme that underlines their differences is the efficiency of their operation. So let's break it down a bit...
1. Block Verification Speed: #Ethereum uses a Proof of Work (PoW) consensus algorithm, while #BNBChain uses Proof of Staked Authority (PoSA). POW's block time is about 15 seconds, whereas BNB Chain's is 3 seconds. Thus, BEP-20 token transactions are faster than ERC-20's. 2. Gas Fee: The PoSA block validation algorithm achieves consensus at a much lower fee than PoW. Also, gas fees on #Ethereum increase with demand and traffic, while the #BNBChain has good stability. In other words, BEP-20 tokens are cheaper to transact in than ERC-20 ones. 3. Security: @BNBChain uses 21 validators, while #Ethereum has about 400,000 validators. The larger number of validators required to verify blocks on Ethereum implies that ERC-20 token transactions are more secure than BEP-20 tokens.
So that is a concise overview of ERC-20 and BEP-20 standards and their tokens that have greatly improved the compatibility and interoperability of the blockchain industry.
