Since March started, we have showcased some awesome community members who wanted to share their thoughts and experiences about this past year with SafeMoon.
Many in the community have been an immense help behind the scenes.
One of our amazingly dedicated Discord Senior Moderators, Vibby, has decided to share his story.
How long have you been a member of the SafeMoon community? How did you first find SafeMoon?
I joined the community/bought my first tokens on April 19th, 2021. One of my internet friends is very interested in crypto and introduced me to SafeMoon. Offering reflections while you hold sounded exciting to me, so I decided I'll get some as well. It was a very tough process. Downloading a wallet app, grabbing BNB, connecting to PancakeSwap... But in the end, I made it work. And I've been holding ever since. Before that, the only crypto I owned was Doge due to the massive hype near the beginning of 2021.
Did you share your excitement on SafeMoon with a friend/family/others?
In the first month since I bought, I shared the word with my close group of friends. One of them didn't have any spare money to buy, so I sent him some myself. Since then, we all still talk about SafeMoon sometimes. I help them catch up to the latest and discuss what's coming next.
What platform do you spend the most time on? What's your favorite part about hanging out with them?
The SafeMoon Discord. I'm a Senior Moderator there, and I just want to say... it's truly a life-changing experience for me. I've met so many influential, honest, amazing people since I joined the mod team. I'm always striving to be the best version of myself to support the community and show everyone the good side of crypto. It can be tough, it can be confusing but the members of our server are always there to help, to show support and understanding. Shout out to the moderator teams across all of the socials! Thank you for always being there for me, for the team, and for the community. You're all exceptional.
What's been your favorite part of the birthday month so far?
I'm honestly super excited about the new branding that got introduced. I've always been fascinated with Graphic Design. I know that good design can go a long way. Ours is cohesive, evolving, fitting to the company's goals. I absolutely love it. Some people seem to undermine that, but I'm hopeful that once more products are out, they'll understand the true idea behind it.
What's a good/funny memory you have with the Army?
There are so many! I've had a lot of great laughs with the community in the chats. The amount of humor, the memes, the dad jokes... It's impossible to choose one!
But when it comes to good memories - The amount of support the community shared with each other during the first days of the company restructure. It was a scary time for a lot of folks, but in the end, it made all of us stronger. That alone made me appreciate everyone on a much deeper level. We're all in this together.

#FREEREBIF. This member is an absolute legend by now. I'm playing the role of the 'strict parent,' and I'm laughing so much whenever people wish to get him unbanned... Don't tell John! But in all honesty, I hope that person is doing great and possibly has good laughs with us. I'm sure they'd be surprised to see how much joy they brought onto our Discord Server.
Of the announced products so far, what are you the most excited for?
Probably SafeMoon Exchange, mainly due to Cryptonomics. The ability to gain reflections from coins/tokens that originally do not have tokenomics is absolutely brilliant, in my opinion. Reflections are the reason why I got interested in SafeMoon, and I'm assuming it's the same for a lot of us here.
What are your dreams?
I wish to support my parents and have a calm future for myself. I come from a big family. So a lot of spending. It was never a big problem but it did bring some short-term issues and the amount of work my parents had to put in to raise all of us left them with pretty much no peace of mind. Being able to help them financially and let them do what they enjoy without worries is one of the bigger reasons why I've held onto the crypto space. I believe it can help all of us, as long as we spread the good cause.

"I find it comical that people believe today’s #SAFEMOON mods are these power-hungry, dictator, over-policing, ego-filled, jerks with their own agendas in mind and have no care in the world for the actual community. Do you even remember how the community started out?
The community was a mess; mods ran wild, users could say whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted, and no one was ever held accountable. And guess what, that almost destroyed the community completely. Since then, we have cleaned house and the team we have today is full of some of the hardest working, kindest, dedicated individuals I have ever had the privilege to work with. And by work, I mean volunteer. We spend countless hours every day volunteering to ensure the community is as safe and fun as it can be for those who genuinely care about the company and those around it.
With that said, we are not perfect. Far from it, actually. We make mistakes, but we hold everyone accountable for these mistakes. We HATE banning anyone from the community. As much as you think otherwise, it is not something we find pleasure in doing. We won’t stand for people that join our space simply to hide their trolling comments as “concerns”, then run off to Twitter to post screenshots of how they were banned for being a “concerned holder”. These people are the reason there is so much drama around this community, not the moderators.
It is very sad to see the disrespect our team receives for how much work we have done to better this community. As I said, we aren’t perfect, each social channel could be improved, but we try so hard to keep the space safe for you all to come in and talk about SFM positively.
I hope one day the hate towards our team can turn around. We will never let this community down and will continue to work each day to prove those that are against us wrong.
