According to this article written by Business Wire, SafeMoon has three new team members in leadership positions!! Please give a warm welcome to Lynn Spraggs, Ph.D., Robert Spraggs and Jack Hammock. Read the Business Wire article here!

SafeMoon's Director of Cryptography Lynn Spraggs, PhD graduated with his Doctorate of Philosophy Engineering and Mathematics from Stanford University in 1974. For 10 years he worked at AKCode as a chairman and founder. He is also the owner of the cybersecurity company Aegis Systems Canada Inc.

Robert Spraggs, our Director of Technology, is the CTO for both Aegis Systems and AKCode. "AKCode was tasked to bring high-level encryption and authentication solutions to the U.S. Government in an attempt to bolster Homeland Security initiatives," according to Robert's LinkedIn. He includes, "I have over 25 years of experience designing and securing computer networks, Internet security, systems analysis, corporate threat assessment, and secure software development. I have made presentations to the White House Chief of Staff, Joint Chiefs of Staff, U.S. Military divisions in the Pentagon, various law enforcement agencies and worked with the FAA on defining airport security procedures post 9/11. I have worked on multiple Secret projects within the Department of Defense, including securing specialized communications for the U.S. Navy, developing secure remote satellite video stations for U.S. AID, and ultra-secure biometric identity systems for the U.S. Air Force."

Jake Hammock has joined SafeMoon as our VP of Research and Development. He is the co-founder and CEO of Selu Technologies, a Utah-based company that created patent-pending technologies to reclaim atmospheric humidity, produce renewable energy, and use CO2 to fertilize agriculture environments to regulate temperature and humidity. According to Selu's site, "Jake enjoys creating solutions to benefit those in need and currently chairs the Board of Trustees for FarmSahel, Inc. – a nonprofit institution aimed on transforming the lives of women farmers in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Prior to Selu, he founded Chaac Technologies, Inc. and patented water and energy co-generating systems to benefit the world in need of these precious resources. Additionally, Jake is a U.S. Army combat veteran with extensive experience leading technical intelligence programs for the U.S. Intelligence Community. Jake earned an MSc in Cybersecurity Technology from the University of Maryland and conducted extensive undergraduate research in North Africa."

Ryan's Departure

Here's a message from CEO John Karony to the SafeMoon Army regarding Ryan's leaving the company:

"Hey SafeMoon Army! There are many days that being the CEO of a fast-growing company is one of the most difficult roles on earth. Today I am particularly aware of this. I want to address the latest Tweet from Ryan with you directly. We were working internally to address the issues we were experiencing with Ryan’s inability to follow company policy and procedures; however, today I have had to make the difficult decision to terminate Ryan's employment following his most recent breach of both confidentiality and ethics. It is unfortunate that we have been unable to work with Ryan.

I, and all of us, must adhere to and protect the principles of corporate ethics and confidentiality policies, always. To violate this is unfair to our community, partners, and indeed our fellow teammates. It is my responsibility to the protection and future of SafeMoon.

I am confirming to each of you and our holders that all products will be released on time, and this does not affect our development plan. Ryan's former job was purely as a program manager, and not a developer (coder). We were announcing multiple leadership hires in the coming days, but given today’s news, I would love to let you all know a little sooner than planned. I am delighted to announce that a new Vice President of Research & Development has commenced work with SafeMoon already, and our Ph.D has been working in the background on the blockchain. For those that are curious, this was separate from the items Ryan was handling.

These types of changes are normal in any company, the only non-normal and extremely disappointing thing about all of this is how one decides to use their voice. We always push for collaboration, support, and leading with the human element. Because ultimately we are all people behind our positions. This is also exactly why receiving and delivering such news pulls at our core and is never simply an item of process.

I am heartened by the tremendous support of our team, and of our community, and I commit to communicating to you directly, and in truthfulness always as we strive to accomplish our north star goals of building an ecosystem and a model for social impact beyond what has been available during any time in the past.
