SafeMoon Army Birthday Celebration

Since March started, we have been showcasing some awesome community members who wanted to share their thoughts and experiences about this past year with SafeMoon.

Jimmy Cash, Price Discussion (PD) legend on the Official SafeMoon Discord, avid educator to the community, defender of SafeMoon's honor with FUD fighting facts, shares his story for SafeMoon's Birthday celebration.

Tell me about how you found out about SafeMoon?

My first exposure to crypto was in 2018 when I triumphantly called BTC a scam after making fun of buddies who lost over 60% of their value after buying in near the ATH at the time. Fast forward to April 2021, my discord buddy tells me about Safemoon. The only thing that caught my attention was this new “tokenomics” feature that provided passive income stream. Of course, being a stock investor, somehow that seemed to connect with me, I wasn’t a big fan of anything that promoted 1000x gains so somehow this “feature” made me look into this. Not only did SafeMoon introduce me to the whole new world of cryptocurrency, it changed my life, to be honest. Admittedly, I’m an older investor, but SafeMoon has re-energized me, opened the door to a whole new mindset about our economy and the digital economy, and made me feel a whole lot younger!

What do you like about SafeMoon?

My favorite part about SafeMoon is the people. I am not naïve to the tremendous amounts of fud that have followed SafeMoon since its inception. However, while difficult at times, it has not caused me to waver from my commitment to the community and the team. When I saw the vision that John laid out, I knew this was going to be a long-term investment, and I am fully committed to that. I challenge myself daily to hold to that conviction and not give in to the bear market sentiment that strikes fear and uncertainty in people’s hearts and causes good folks to make irrational and emotional investment decisions. For me it’s not financial advice, it’s life advice.

How has SafeMoon made an impact on you as an investor or hodler?

I want to thank the Discord community, especially my PD gang, and many, many blessings to my Defi Physics Labs gang, that has truly made this first year in crypto enjoyable, through thick and thin. The SafeMoon community helped expose me to other projects and invest in other things to help me understand crypto. I feel crypto is here to stay and I try to take the long approach to my investing. Invest a few dollars at a time, dollar cost average, be open-minded, and not view everything in the SafeMoon only lens. Every project has its ups and downs, the fud almost starts to sound the same, and it’s not unique to SafeMoon. The fud usually originates when the expectations of an individual investor do not align with the expectations or timelines of the project. That is fine and 100% normal. It isn’t FUD, it is just reality, and there are plenty of projects in the sea to align your expectations. If you are long on SafeMoon, and you believe in the vision like I do, you are in for exciting times. For folks that don’t understand what SafeMoon is trying to do, come to the Discord or join one of the “positive” Twitter spaces. If you want to really DYOR, understand all the positive takes just as much as the negative. You owe it to yourself to do that.

What excites you about SafeMoon's future?

SafeMoon is trying to build an ecosystem that survives beyond the token itself. Think about that approach and let it sink in. I’ve seen some of the fud that says SafeMoon seems all over the place. I don’t think so… as long as the blockchain and the token form that common bond, then it is not all over the place. Look at Apple and see how that ecosystem isn’t just about phones and laptops. It’s music streaming, movies, cloud storage, and now payment services?! However, look at how the iOS system weaves everything together. Look at Google, and how it started as a search engine and free email platform to a behemoth that has effectively monetized information. Google seems to have its hand in everything, yet there is the connective tissue with Google with information, cloud, and single sign-on experience as your connective tissue. Not trying to compare SafeMoon to these established companies, SafeMoon is trying to be bold, and not build something that fits the catchy overused buzz words of the young crypto industry. Build community, release wallet, exchange listing, rinse repeat. That is not how you leave your legacy. John has the courage to do something great in crypto, and that is to create a thriving and surviving ecosystem that bridges the gap between the real world and the digital world while leaving a positive return on impact. That takes time. You can either roll the dice and go on the journey in the beginning, with all the trials and tribulations that befall a bold and fearless leader, or… you can wait until all the kinks are ironed out and join in at the end, and buy in at a much lower risk level, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Any parting thoughts for the Army?

I’m in for the ride, and I am rooting hard for John, for Ryan, for the rest of the staff, and most of all, for the community. Be proud to be a Safemoon holder, it won’t be long that Safemoon is as common a tech name in your house as an NVIDIA graphics card, a Samsung TV, or an Apple phone. When your grandkids are asking you if they can get a Safemoon Gift Card from Best Buy so they can own a fractional share of a windmill that they want to place in their metaverse game while actually generating passive real life income that feeds into their college fund wallet that is linked to a safemoon debit/credit card, you’ll look back fondly to know you were there from the beginning. Happy Birthday to the team and the community!!

John: I'm excited for cross-chain. BSC token to an Eth Token. It’s great. All from the SafeMoon Wallet

SFM Holder A: I was thinking for a massive exchange to commit to add all the coding for us when the volume is so low it's not worth their time. We are a big community so when the volume picks up and utilities are taking off we will look more worth their while :)

SFM Holder B: This is also true but what if we bridged Coinbase to the BSC network as middleware? Is that something that might appeal to them

SFM Holder A: Nope sfm has to be middleware for our volume or its pointless

John: SFM is the middleware.

SFM Holder A: I know. It was a reply to someone saying Coinbase could be [the middleware] so that can add us or something?

John: Oh gotcha

SFM Holder B: [Responding to SFM Holder A] That’s what I’m saying… What if we connected to Coinbase as the middleware so they could list through SafeMoon and list BSC tokens while SafeMoon takes that .25% cut on every trade.

John: Coinbase isn’t a blockchain.

SFM Holder B: Cap can you answer this question. On the CNBC article when you mentioned 2 blockchains was that in regards to BSC SafeMoon and ETH SafeMoon or is SafeMoon building 2 blockchains.

John: No I said we built a blockchain or two to test some things out. But that is part of the prep process. I don’t consider that the actual coding of the blockchain.

SFM Holder C: So testnets?

John: Eh kinda. The current team we have are working on it. It’s not the blockchain part we are trying to work on, it's some other items. The blockchain side is not the time that takes work, it’s the other aspects like integration into some of our other tech.

SFM Holder: I'm happy with waiting as long as CAPT stops giving us zeros for our birthday.

John: You do realize the importance of S&E + CrossChain right?

Reminders

Router Upgrade

SafeMoon will be upgrading their router on March 22nd and will therefore need ALL Swap LP providers to remove their pairings from the LP, or you can lose it! This includes anyone who has ever used the "Add Liquidity" feature on SFM Swap!
