As part of their evolution, SafeMoon announced their partnership with pNetwork has come to "its natural end" thanking pNetwork for "being an outstanding partner".

Plans are in place to end the pSafeMoon bridge on December 19th at 11AM EST. A dApp will then open to allow for pToken holders to migrate and consolidate their pSFM to SFMV2.

Microsoft Bans Cryptocurrency Mining on Cloud Services

Cloud computing giant Microsoft is taking measures to increase stability of its cloud services by forcing new restrictions for activities like cryptocurrency mining.

Microsoft has quietly banned crypto mining from its online services in order to better protect its customers and clouds, British technology news agency The Register reported on Dec. 15.

The company introduced the new restrictions as part of its universal license terms of Microsoft Online Services. Microsoft updated its acceptable use policy on Dec. 1 to clarify that “mining cryptocurrency is prohibited without prior Microsoft approval.”

In the “Acceptable Use Policy” section, Microsoft said that it now requires users to obtain a written pre-approval from the company in order to use any of Microsoft Online Services for crypto mining. [Source: Cointelegraph]

New York State Issues Guidance for Banks Seeking to Engage in Activities with Crypto

The New York state Department of Financial Services (DFS) released guidance on Dec. 15 for regulated banks seeking to engage in activities with virtual currency. The guidance, which took effect immediately, describes the application process and “summarizes the types of information the Department considers relevant” for obtaining the agency’s approval.

The 11-page document consisted largely of bullet points as it described the informational requirements for several categories, such as “Business Plan” and “Consumer Protection,” in detail, followed by a series of formal checklists.

Approval is required 90 days before engaging in activities, the document said. Approval for prior activities “does not constitute general consent” for other activities, and some activities by third-party service providers may require the agency’s approval as well. [Source: Cointelegraph]

'Third-party incident' Impacted Gemini with 5.7 million Emails Leaked

A third-part vendor related to Gemini appeared to have suffered a data breach on or before Dec. 13. According to documents obtained by Cointelegraph, hackers gained access to 5,701,649 lines of information pertaining to Gemini customers’ email addresses and partial phone numbers. In the case of the latter, hackers apparently did not gain access to the full phone numbers, as certain numeric digits were obfuscated. After the news came to light, Gemini has since clarified in a blog post that the breach appeared to be "result of an incident at a third-party vendor" but also warned of ongoing "phishing campaigns" as a result of the data leak.
